Anil Murthy addresses Masters graduates at Mestalla

Valencia CF president Anil Murthy participated in the graduation ceremony for the XI edition of the ‘Master in International Sports Management’ course, run by the Centro de Formación Fundació Valencia CF and ESBS European Sport Business School (MBA Valencia CF), and the second Sports Law Programme. The ceremony was held on the pitch at Mestalla.
"The Masters course that you have completed is a top level one. It's the best in Spain, and I think one of the best in Europe, in its sector. It prepares you for every area. It doesn't mean that your future lies solely in sport. You have to be open and alert to all opportunities," said Mr. Murthy in his speech, which drew on lessons learned through his professional career.
"A good professional always accepts that he doesn't know everything. Somebody who loses the ability to learn, with humility, becomes irrelevant nowadays. You have to be firm and brave. When you see that something has to change, you have to push your ideas. But you have to create consensus."
"You are going to make mistakes in many projects. To start with, you will make mistakes in many projects. The key is to not look for excuses. You have to accept responsibility and not give up. You have to analyse and learn, picking yourself up to try again. Don't stop until you are successful. Life doesn't teach you to be strong; life OBLIGES you to be strong. Good luck to you all, and congratulations."
